RAFAŁ GRACZYK, PhD
CTO

Dr Graczyk is a graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology with extensive experience at the Space Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the University of Luxembourg, and in private entities within the space sector. He is also a graduate of the Top 500 Innovators program, which was conducted by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education and aimed to educate Polish scientists in innovation and commercialization methods. He is an engineer and scientist who has been developing and advancing space systems for more than 15 years, with a focus on dependability and resilience to radiation effects. Experienced in both the NewSpace start-up ecosystem and Legacy Space missions driven by space agencies, he served as a technical lead for system design, analysis, and modelling, including reliability estimates, fault tolerance techniques and fault detection, isolation, and recovery mechanisms for the large ESA PROBA-3 payload management system project. In recent years, he has also led a large team of engineers spread across multiple companies. Currently, he focuses on architectures and methodologies for increasing the resilience of space systems (fault and intrusion tolerance), inventing building blocks for future space exploration and exploitation, and building commercial capacity based on the technical solutions developed in large scientific institutions. As an author and co-author of international scientific publications on the reliability of electronic devices in space, Dr Graczyk has presented at both national and international scientific conferences.
